Designed to maximize your exposure to the many potential areas of archaeology, the program requirements - whether at the major or minor level - include courses from 10 departments/programs:
- Anthropology
- Art History
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Classics
- Computer Science
- Geology
- History
- Historic Preservation
- Mathematics
These contributing programs are found across the institution - in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Science and Mathematics, the School of the Arts, and the School of Languages Cultures and World Affairs. In addition to providing you with a strong, interdisciplinary background in archaeology, these requirements also count towards many general education requirements. Students of archaeology are also required to do either an internship or (strongly encouraged) a field school of their choosing.
